Since its inception, Pickens County Habitat originated and serviced all homeowner mortgage loans “in-house” – a very tedious process. After the 2008 recession and subsequent changes in mortgage lending laws, Pickens County Habitat decided to outsource the organization and servicing processes, strengthening the affiliate-family relationship.
Since 1981, Pickens County Habitat for Humanity has built or renovated more than 100 safe, decent, and affordable homes for more than 300 individuals in need.
