Hundreds of Clemson University students join together to complete the nation’s first-ever student-led Habitat build in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. The effort involved four intense days of construction in the Canaan Land subdivision of Easley, SC leading up to Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The Clemson Habitat Campus Chapter joined forces with the Minority Council of Clemson and the MLK Enhancement Committee to celebrate the annual Day of Service and build the foundation, frame and roof of a house for a single mother of two children.
Since 1981, Pickens County Habitat for Humanity has built or renovated more than 100 safe, decent, and affordable homes for more than 300 individuals in need.
