Our History

Since 1981, Pickens County Habitat for Humanity has built or renovated more than 100 safe, decent, and affordable homes for more than 300 individuals in need.

2005 – Thrivent Build begins.

Thrivent Financial, the SC Synod Lutheran Youth of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and Lutheran Campus Ministry – Clemson announce a partnership with Pickens County Habitat.  These groups join forces to build three homes.  The first house became home to Melissa Phillips, a single mom.  The second to Donna Farrell, mother of two.  The third became the 2005 Homecoming Build at Clemson University.
