Pickens County Habitat joins 20 other affiliates across the nation in organizing a local Youth Build in Pickens County.  The goal of the Youth Build was to engage high school students in the Habitat for Humanity program by enlisting their volunteer and fundraising help to build a home for a Pickens County family.  Students from Daniel High School began building a home for Geneva Hicks in the summer of 2002.  Students raised $10,000 for the home and committed thousands of volunteer hours.
