Who We Are

Our History

Since 1981, Pickens County Habitat for Humanity has built or renovated more than 100 safe, decent, and affordable homes for more than 300 individuals in need.

1999 – Pickens County Habitat hosts Women Build.

Women join together to carry lumber to the construction site.

Joining Habitat for Humanity International traditions, Pickens County Habitat begins “the House that Jane Built” on Hamilton Street in Easley, SC using only female volunteers led by Cheryl Hanson.  Volunteers were mainly from Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Clemson United Methodist and Easley Presbyterian.
