Pickens Habitat brings people together to build community! Since 1981, we've helped neighbors achieve the safety and security that can be found in affordable homeownership. We couldn't do this without the help of our local community and caring partners.

Be a Part of the Jaycee Park Community Day of Service!

Pickens County Habitat for Humanity (PCHFH) is excited to announce a special Community Day of Service at Jaycee Park in Pickens, SC, on July 20, 2024. This event is generously sponsored by Lowe's, which has provided a $5000 grant to help revitalize this essential community space.

Jaycee Park, located at 149 N Homestead Rd, Pickens, SC 29671, has long been a cornerstone of our community, offering a place for families and friends to gather, play, and connect. As part of our ongoing mission to build safe, affordable homes and strengthen communities, PCHFH recognizes the importance of maintaining and enhancing our shared spaces.

Event Details:

  • Date: July 20, 2024
  • Time: 9 AM onwards
  • Location: Jaycee Park, 149 N Homestead Rd, Pickens, SC 29671

We invite you to bring your family and friends to join us in various activities aimed at beautifying and enhancing Jaycee Park. Activities will include:

  • Painting the playground equipment and block portion of the stadium seats
  • Landscaping by planting azaleas and spreading mulch next to the tennis courts
  • Making Basic Repairs such as installing new lumber for the stadium seating and the BMX park next to the gym

This day of service is a fantastic opportunity for volunteers of all ages to contribute to the community, make new friends, and have fun while making a meaningful impact. By working together, we can transform Jaycee Park into a vibrant gathering place that will serve the community for generations to come.

We are deeply grateful to Lowe's for their generous donation and to our local Lowe's stores for their support in making this project a reality. Their commitment to community service and support of local initiatives is invaluable.
