At Pickens County Habitat for Humanity, every home begins long before the first wall goes up. It starts with a conversation. A shared belief. A hand reaching out and saying, "We're in this with you."
Over the past few months, that spirit of partnership has come alive in powerful ways. Thanks to the generosity of organizations like Walmart, Arthrex, and Publix, we’ve been able to stretch further, build smarter, and support more families striving for strength and stability through affordable homeownership.
These aren’t just donations. They’re investments in local lives: in parents working double shifts, in children growing up with room to dream, in seniors aging in place with dignity. They’re a testament to what’s possible when businesses and communities come together with purpose.
Every Grant Tells a Story
When Walmart awarded a community grant to support our work, they didn’t just fund materials. They helped lay the foundation for our 2025 Homecoming Build.
When Arthrex stepped in, they supported more than construction. They showed that high-impact manufacturing can go hand in hand with high-impact giving.
When Publix joined us, they reinforced what we’ve seen time and again. Grocery stores don’t just nourish communities with food. They nourish them with generosity.
Each of these grants fuels something specific. But collectively, they fuel a deeper truth: we cannot build homes alone. It takes partnership, trust, and a shared understanding that safe, decent, affordable housing is not a privilege. It’s a community responsibility.
An Open Invitation to Business Leaders
If you represent a local business or a regional employer and are looking for meaningful, measurable ways to give back, we invite you to reach out. Whether through corporate giving, employee engagement, in-kind donations, or co-branded partnerships, there are many ways to align your values with ours.
We’re particularly eager to explore:
- New grant opportunities that support housing, community development, and volunteerism
- Volunteer build days that get your team out of the office and into impact
- Long-term partnerships that link your brand with transformation, equity, and hope
We’re not looking for handouts. We’re looking for partners: people and companies who believe that doing good is good business and that building a stronger Pickens County lifts us all.
Let’s Build It Together
To those who have already stepped up, thank you. Your support is tangible. It’s on every job site, in every dedication ceremony, in every family that finally has a front door to call their own.
To those considering how to get involved, we’d love to talk. Let’s imagine what’s possible, together.
