Pickens County Habitat for Humanity Earns Prestigious Candid Platinum Seal

At Pickens County Habitat for Humanity (PCHFH), we take immense pride in announcing that our organization has earned the prestigious Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency. This highest level of recognition from Candid (formerly GuideStar) honors nonprofits that exemplify an unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in their operations.

Achieving the Platinum Seal was no easy feat. It required us to meet rigorous standards for openly sharing comprehensive details about our mission-driven work. From providing our strategic plans and answering in-depth questions about our objectives and impacts, to reporting key metrics that showcase our outcomes in 2023 – we left no stone unturned in our pursuit of full transparency.

You see, for us at PCHFH, transparency isn't just a box to check; it's a core value deeply ingrained in our philosophy. As an organization dedicated to empowering families through affordable homeownership, we believe maintaining open lines of communication and accountability with our supporters and the community we serve is absolutely vital.

"Earning the Candid Platinum Seal reinforces our longstanding commitment to transparency in everything we do," affirms Tamara Dourney, PCHFH's Interim Executive Director. "Our generous donors and volunteers deserve complete confidence that their invaluable contributions are maximized for impact through ethical, inclusive practices."

This prestigious recognition fuels our passionate drive to keep making a tangible difference by building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter right here in Pickens County.

Since our founding in 1981, PCHFH has had the honor of partnering with 117 families to turn their dreams of affordable homeownership into reality. This milestone would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our community. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has joined us in this critical mission! Together, we can continue revitalizing our communities, one home, one family at a time.

The Candid Platinum Seal represents far more than just an accolade – it's a resounding testament to our organization's integrity and our steadfast commitment to the families we serve. As we move forward, you can rest assured that transparency will continue guiding our every action, solidifying the unshakable foundation of trust upon which our mission stands.
