January 28, 2024, marked the dedication of a home that was much more than bricks and mortar. It was the realization of a dream for the Wright family, who moved into their new home just before the New Year. This dedication was a celebration of a new beginning and an acknowledgment of the journey, hard work, and love that brought us to this moment.
The Clemson University Campus Chapter of PCHFH, alongside generous partners like Champion Aerospace LLC, State Farm, and the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Clemson, played pivotal roles in bringing this dream to life. Their dedication and support embody the true essence of community and collective action. But the heart of this story is the Wright family, whose journey to homeownership is a testament to perseverance, resilience, and hope.
Tim Wright, standing before friends, volunteers, and community members, shared his emotions openly, his voice breaking with gratitude. "I never expected to be able to own my own home," he confessed, moved to tears.
